Fishing for Ideas
This month's theme is summer swimming. Fishy, beachy, summery prompts.
The sweltering summer has me dreaming. When I let my mind wander, it finds a cottage by a lake, with a lovely dock and trees all around. Sometimes my mind heads to the seaside, lays a towel down on the sand, lowers its sunglasses and opens up a good book. My mind is at sea.
So, since we’re by the water…
Let’s Go Fishing!
I made a little prompt-catching game for this month’s Draw-la-la visitors. I drew each little fish (and other catchable things) on coloured card and wrote a drawing prompt on the other side. A dowel, some string, and a magnet for a fishing rod, and now I have the lake of my daydreams.

Draw a mer-person, or a cat-fish, or maybe an elephant-fish. A mer-cowboy? A mer-accountant? Get weird. Get silly. Get splashy.
